About me

I’m a third year PhD student in applied mathematics at UCLA advised by Prof. Ernest Ryu. My research interests include applications of reinforcement learning to large language models, and empirical deep learning more generally.

I have a Master’s degree in mathematics from UCLA and a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the Australian National University, where I completed my Honours thesis on harmonic analysis under the supervision of Po-Lam Yung.

I come from a small town in New South Wales, Australia. My hobbies include reading and keeping fit, whether it be by running, swimming, or going to the gym. I have an interest in data science and finance, and am aspiring to a career in either quantitative finance or tech.
